Day 2 be colourful quilt class

It's nearing the end of day two and weariness has set in, a long journey to get to London tonight there are train delays and track changes yeah don't think I'll live in London , might just come home....

My progress today...

This will take me a while but it has been so much fun.. I think it's time to pack up and head to the train station.

Be colourful quilt class ....

Hi there we have finished day one of the class with Jacqueline de jonge, a fabulous but busy day keeping up.  I ordered fabric direct from Jacqueline and thought I had a lot of cutting to do, however she so kindly had all the fabrics precut and bagged ready for the cuts to make all the foundation pieces.. So easy....

There is a lot to this quilt these are just the instructions...

A whole booklet 46 pages, ...

The festival of quilts Birmingham

Hi quilting friends, I have arrived at the Birmingham quilt festival, and oh wow, got to have a look around for two hours yesterday and sitting outside Starbucks ready to go decided not to wait in the ridiculously long line, kaffe fasset was even sitting next to our table having coffee!! Will keep the photos coming (photo rich!) grab a coffee you might need to sit down.

Dubai..... Heat too hot to handle

Wow it's a bit much to take walking in the Dubai heat... It's 48 outside and at 5 40am it was 33. Coming from 2 degrees and a few minus temperature my body is hot ... (Well it was anyway lol haha)

So it's a cold ice water a very large bottle and inside air conditioning for me...

We went to the spice souk, gold souk and omg what choices.... Didn't get anything except 2silk scarves and 3 postcards... Now to have a sleep and recover from the 17 hours in the plane..

Guess where I am off too....

Hi bloggers,  I have been keeping a secret...  My DH and I are off to romantic and adventurous destinations now....  A fabulous overseas trip for me just getting soo excited....Dubai, Barcelona, Italy, Turkey, London (Birmingham Quilt festival  yeah...), Paris 
I hope to post some photos if I can manage and find internet.  I have been getting a project ready for taking with me something easy to carry but something that has been on the list to do...
